An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently recruiting for an experienced Global Assistant Brand Manager for the Surf brand. The role will be based at Unilever's Global HQ in Blackfriars, London. This is a full time, temporary role to start September/October 2016 and will run for 9-12 months. The salary for this position is paying between £30,400 to £38,000 depending on experience.

The Role
We are looking for a senior ABM who is familiar with running complex global projects with multiple stakeholders. The role leads and supports the main activities of a game-changing global innovation project related to the Surf Premium platform, as well as supports the delivery of a key market intervention opportunity that truly reflects the ambition of Surf and its brand purpose. The jobholder will have ample autonomy in driving clearly defined initiatives, deploying and strengthening his / her leadership skills, frequent exposure to global, country, and functional stakeholders, and the opportunity to build brand equity.

The Brand
Surf is the second largest Unilever Laundry brand. It has been extremely successful in the last few years, extending its footprint to more than 47 countries across the globe, and growing in all regions. Surf's roots in affordable cleaning and superior fragrances have always offered our consumers a delightful experience. At Surf, we believe that it's the little everyday things that lift you up. For this reason we are passionate about crafting products that surprise the senses and uplift spirits in every laundry moment and beyond. Our Brand Love Key brings additional richness to the brand, and is already inspiring us to raise our game across all our mix elements. Our new BCI has been proven above the line globally and is being launched everywhere, from Philippines to Brazil, South Africa to the UK. Surf is also pioneering the Digital agenda in laundry, with a variety of successful initiatives that bring delight in the everyday (gaming, music etc.). This is an area of increasing focus for the brand. Finally, Surf's opportunity in the area of Sustainable Living is also significant. We are pioneering ground-breaking water-related initiatives in the category. This is the first step in a journey that will seek to put an ambitious purpose at the heart of our brand initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead/support the global programme for the Surf Premium platform, including:
*The delivery of a premium innovation mix launching in 2017.
*Development of the next generation of products for the platform (product technology, fragrance, packaging, claims) across multiple formats and geographies to be deployed from 2018 onwards.
*Support the delivery of a key market intervention project that reflects the brand's ambition and purpose.
*Lead cross-functional project teams (R&D, SC, CMI, Finance), manage stakeholders, and work directly with a significant number of Regional & BB teams in bringing projects to market.
*Create global BETs for the Premium platform next generation.
*Work closely with the advertising and design agencies.
*Manage projects' CIP and keep constant tracking of the project expenses.
*Work closely with Surf's 4 direct dock markets and the regional teams to incorporate market needs during the development of global projects and to ensure flawless, OTIF delivery of the projects in the marketplace

Skills / Experience Required
*Relevant marketing experience
*Robust innovation project management experience with proven track record
*Project management: highly organised, leadership of cross-functional teams
*Highly able to effectively manage situations involving change, complexity, and ambiguity
*Strong influencing skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others across geographies and cultures
