Manpower are currently recruiting for multiple Desktop Support Engineers to join their Client - an on-site delivery specialist for multi-vendor products and services.

The successful candidate will be involved in customer facing project work dealing with hardware break fix of PCs Laptops and some printers which commences 17th October and concludes 4th November - 3 weeks work, but 2 weeks set aside for on-boarding and getting up to speed with systems so length of contract is 5 weeks. We need applicants free from 3rd of October.

4 people are required for this work.

*The role requires excellent software, hardware and customer skills.
*Role is technical for hardware / software issues and dealing with requests.

Responsibilities will include:

*Respond to hardware and software service calls and ensure SLA targets are achieved
*Adhere to escalation procedures
*Perform hardware and software installations as necessary
*Assist with technical escalations for other team members,
*Adhere to customer and HPCDS HSSE and Security Policies
*Ability to follow processes and procedures
*Order parts and some understanding of stock control processes
*Deal with 3rd party suppliers - acting as escort to building during and out with working hours
*Cover required on one of 3 central London sites either 8-4pm or 9-5pm.

Essential skills:

A broad technical knowledge of PC's/peripherals and their architecture
Good working knowledge of current software packages
Good working knowledge of operating system
Accredited in relevant manufacturers hardware qualification
Good understanding of IT infrastructure
Ability to work on own initiative, address and resolve problems in a pressurised environment
Ability to diagnose faults in the hardware/software/operating systems used by the customer
Excellent organisational skills, able to take a methodical approach to service issues
Contributes to, supports and works within the team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
