Manpower are currently recruiting for a Data Center Hardware Planner to join their Client - an on-site delivery specialist for multi-vendor products and services.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team providing Network, Quality Control and infrastructure support within a large datacentre. If you suspect that you will not be able to obtain SC MoD and MoJ security clearance, then this role is not for you, as it will be a primary requirement for the role

This work is varied across both Wynyard or Doxford sites during office hours of 0900 - 1715 weekdays. This role will be an initial fixed term contract of 13 months. Please note that I have placed the role located in Peterlee - this should bisect the two locations of Sunderland and Billingham (Doxford Park and Wynyard Park.

Responsibilities will include:

Review all Workload Placement approvals and Change Requests for equipment installation / de-installation,
Govern the process of Customer installations/de-installations ;
Ensure installations or de-installations are performed by technically qualified parties on behalf of the Customer and approved by Data Centre Facilities;
Ensures and verifies identification tags are attached for each item of Customer Equipment (qualified by Device Model Library) for recording inventory details;
Ensures and verifies that Customer Equipment is labelled after installation (ex. RFID, customer required tag, etc.);
Review and approve Customer's rack designs, orders all necessary technical equipment (i.e. power whips, cabinets); Equipment grid placement. Ensuring following all of client Facilities standards as described in the Operations Manual.
The successful applicant will own:
*At least 2 years physical onsite Data Centre experience supporting the Data Centre equipment and/or infrastructure (Power, Space, Cooling, Equipment)

*Ability to evaluate all manufacturers' specifications for equipment new/previous in order to assign placement in the Data Center
*Knowledge of basic electrical requirements and conversions (i.e. Kilowatts, Amps, phases, etc.)
*Provide review for proposed solutions to validate requirements and identify potential faults/single points of failure
*Experience working in a Structured ITIL and or ISO environment utilizing Problem, Change, and Incident disciplines
*Quickly learn, adapt, and retain Data Centre and Client specific information
*Great team work capabilities
*Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously
*Scheduling flexibility to complete assigned migrations/projects
