The main purpose of this role for the successful candidate is to lead improvement projects using lean principles eliminating wastes within the manufacturing processes, to achieve year on year competitiveness.

Primary Responsibilities:

*Perform time studies, apply statistical methods and use mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, labour requirements and production standards.
*Identify wastes within existing processes and develop countermeasures.
*Review production schedules and provide an accurate monthly manning plan using up to date standard times.
*Develop manufacturing methods, labour utilisation standards and cost analysis systems to promote efficient labour and facility utilisation.
*Recommend methods for improving utilisation of personnel, material, and utilities.
*Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilisation.
*Achievement of Production schedule within standard time.
*Improved labour efficiency. (standard time reduction)
*Scrap & process defects reduction in line with budget.
*On time monthly labour report

Personal attributes:

*Must be proficient in the use of continuous improvement techniques. A good working knowledge of 6 sigma / Lean principles.
*Must have proven experience in production and operations within a high volume manufacturing facility, ideally automotive.
*Have a strong desire to achieve targets by working with the team .
*Understanding of TS16949 and ISO14001.
*Must have strong PC Skills.
*Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
*Ability to plan production and fully understand cycle times.
*Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate others within the team environment.
