An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently recruiting for an experienced Global Brand Manager. This is a full time, temporary role to start ideally as ASAP and expected to run for 9 months. The role will be based in at the Leatherhead site SURREY. The salary for this position is paying up to £54,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Background
Lipton is Unilever's largest brand in turnover and global presence and is a key component in PepsiCo's beverage portfolio. Lipton is a truly global brand and operates in two distinct areas; leaf tea and Ready to Drink Tea (RTDT). The RTDT team operates as a separate entity to Unilever and PepsiCo as part of a joint venture organization.


Main Purpose

The main purpose of the role is to create, develop and execute a step change in our global digital delivery. We want to deliver on a bold, digital vision. We have permission to go further and faster. Concretely, there are two aspects to this role: (1) Digital activity plans: including full hero content and deployment recommendation for the regional and local teams. Leading and landing key hero campaign spikes and some hub micro spikes and/or always on content for key platforms. (2) Step changing Pepsi Lipton digital capability - raising the bar and up skilling the Pepsi Lipton marketing community. This person will be a digital evangelist, a "force for digital", in our organisation, leading the agenda and next steps for this to happen.

This person will works closely with regional and local marketing teams to ensure consistency in the execution of our hero platforms and always-on activity and the guardrails following in each market.

Accountabilities

As the Pepsi Lipton digital leader, this person will have to lead and plan the digital agenda for the JV. As well as develop and execute the digital marketing ammunition across the Lipton Ice Tea (LIT) core portfolio and innovations globally.

Specific activities include:
Digital Creative & Communications Plan:
Plan the full digital calendar plan for all markets, being clear on what content will be delivered by category (Hero) vs. local (Hub/always-on).
Full project, agency & budget management to deliver the calendar on time and in full.
Strategy development of multi-market hero campaign materials to support the campaign plan. Ensure that these materials are suitable for all key markets to execute.
Develop and land the key digital guardrails. This includes the execution of the hero digital campaigns and helping to influence guardrails for local hub / 'always on' activity.

Digital Capability Build:
Set up and deliver digital capability sessions to upskill the marketing community.
Share digital best practice, bringing the outside in, across the broader category marketing team.
Deliver brand digital guidelines on the detected knowledge gaps.
Clearly identifies opportunities to test and learn, focused against key business priorities.
Deliver clear reviews of activity performance vs. plan.
Deliver digital integrated reporting.
Identify leading edge technologies to step change digital performance for the category.

Functional Engagement & Responsibilities:.
Build close connections with top management and internal key teams within the parent companies (i.e. Digital excellence team -PepsiCo, Media global team - UL, etc.), to unlock digital progress within the JV.
Build close relationships with the regional and local teams to ensure flawless execution of the global digital plan (within the guardrails that have been developed).
Externally: Day-to-day contact with external digital agencies. Seeks out broad market examples of digital best practice.
Budget control and planning for the digital projects
This role manages one assistant brand manager.


Person Profile

Education and Training
*Bachelor's degree required
*Recommended: Post-graduation/ Master in Marketing, or Digital Marketing.
*Minimum of four years exclusively in digital marketing.
*Minimum of 7 years in Marketing/Comms roles - including digital time.

Work Experience
Ideal candidate will have a digital first background: Can come from an account manager role in a digital agency or a digital marketing role on client side.
Successful track record on digital and social media plan landing, leading brand engagement digital programs and campaigns, and delivering strategic digital planning.

Business skills
The candidate should have a real passion for digital. Must be a digital and technology specialist with a marketing consumer first and a curious mind-set.

Innovative: generation, development, screening and realisation of ideas.
Measurement and evaluation analytical skills.

Demonstrates sensitivity and awareness of cross-cultural implications when conducting business or executing initiatives.
