My client is a very successful retail company that is currently in a period of expansion due to their continuous success and ambitious plans for the future. Starting from a modest background of a market stall, they are now taking over the country with their mid-price point home wares and furnishings and establishing themselves as the ideal one stop shop for customers wanting to make their house a home.

Right now they are looking for IT savvy individuals to join their IT Help Desk team to provide 1st & 2nd Line IT Desk Support. You will be providing support remotely for the EPOS system and all related sub systems across the business.

This is a varied and busy role that would be suitable for experienced IT technicians who enjoy giving excellent customer service.
Throughout your day you will receive, log, monitor and respond in a timely manner to Service Requests across three communication channels and escalate any complex and high priority Service Records to both internal and external teams.

You will have the ability to assess technical errors and determine resolution process around Till peripherals, ie: Till Printers, Scanners, PEDs. If you haven't dealt with all of these kinds of systems that is fine, but an ability to pick things up quickly in a technical role is really going to help you in this job!

To give you an idea of the kind of systems you will be working with and the sort of skills that would be suitable for this role:
. Till software, BeanStore 3.100.0.x.
. Working knowledge of Mercatus or another SaaS-based Stock Control and Management platform.
. Windows Server Environments, 2008 R2, 2012.
. Basic knowledge of how to troubleshoot network infrastructure issues (WAN, LAN etc.).

You may not be a pro but it would be useful if you have a good understanding of overall technology concepts and terminology. This really would suit IT savvy candidates looking for a new challenge and wanting to apply their knowledge in a different environment. At interview you will be able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving and excellent written and verbal communicative skills.

Ideally in your CV you can also demonstrate 1+ year working in an IT support role and some previous experience working in a customer facing role.

Initial Hours Work:

Monday - Friday 08:45am - 17:30pm


Tuesday - Saturday 08:45am - 17:30pm / 08:15am - 17:00am
Sunday - Thursday 08:45am - 17:30pm / 08:15am - 17:00am

Salary on offer is £16k per annum
20 days holiday + bank holiday
Staff discount available after probation period
