Manpower are currently recruiting for a Server Administrator to join their Client - an on-site delivery specialist for multi-vendor products and services.

The successful candidate will monitor and respond to remedy calls / Monitor and respond to Nagios alerts and due to the nature of the environment (Manufacturing) we are looking for those who will be eligible for SC clearance or those who already own it. MCSA would be desirable for this Server Administrator type role.

Working hours at this site have a current work pattern of 8 hours / day between the times of 8am - 6pm Mon - Friday

Responsibilities will include though are not limited to:

VMWARE 4/5/5.5 - Installing / Managing & Configuring to project specification (H.P. Blades C7000 / Dell PowerEdge)
H.P. EVA 6400 SAN Break Fix (Replacement Disks / Ordering / Maintenance)
Printer queue creation and configuration
Server racking including maintenance and project work
Active Directory administration
Maintenance and configuration of Physical / Virtual Servers including ILO / DRAC setup
Knowledge of H.P. & DELL Servers including 2003 / 2008 & 2012R2 Operating Systems
Daily backup and tape operations (Tape changes, admin) H.P. Data Protector / Symantec Netbackup / Symantec System Recovery
SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 Experience
Strong configuration and troubleshooting experience
Strong written and oral communication skills with colleagues and customers
Mandatory Windows Server Patching - every Tuesday 18:00-21:00
Responsible for managing and handling support calls in addition to assisting in maintaining the internal infrastructure
Ensure all support customer calls are supported & resolved using Remedy
Build & upgrading VMware hosts to the latest version / update
Good knowledge of SAN / NAS (Synology) configurations
Work with the customer to define, build and implement new Windows server solutions based on the business requirements
Document processes and procedures
Contribute to the Back office system patching programme, both from an implementation and development perspective

It will be essential to own experience within:
VMWARE
Backup / Recovery Experience
Active Directory Administration
DHCP / DNS
SCCM

It will be desirable to own experience in:
Group policy administration
PowerShell
Some Antivirus / Endpoint protection

Desirable Technical Qualifications:
MCSA
VCP 5.5
