Our Client name has always been at the forefront of advances in the design and development of the caravan holiday home concept. With a high standard of workmanship on all models, they are looking for a Production Manager to support the growth of the business whilst meeting all of their targets within the busy factory on site in Wigan.

An exciting opportunity for the right Candidate, this role requires forward thinking & the ability to contribute at senior management level, whilst driving the manufacturing team to onsite project completion within the correct timescales.

What will your responsibilities be?

*Planning and organising production schedules
*Assessing project and resources requirements
*Able to set and control targets and budgets.
*Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with managers
*Determining quality control standards
*Overseeing production processes
*Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary.
*Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials if necessary.
*Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
*Liaison with buyers, marketing and sales staff
*Supervising the work of staff
*Ensuring Health & Safety requirements have been fulfilled.

What type of person will succeed int his role?
*You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to contribute at the seniority of the Management Team level.
*You will display very strong leadership skills & be able to drive change and process through continuous improvement.
*This position commands excellent communication skills; listening and interfacing skills with senior management, suppliers and the ability to provide guidance and mentoring to staff.
*The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under frequent changing priorities, will be invaluable to the role & your continued success within the business.
*Your past experience must reflect successful project management experience driving through to successful project completion.
*Computer literacy including Word and Excel

With a background in lean manufacturing processes and a working knowledge of MRP & ERP systems, this job could see you achieve an end product that is seen across the whole of the UK & in parts of Europe.
