Job Type
Manpower Plymouth are delighted to be working with an established shop fitting company who are looking for an administrator to assist the company's Health and Safety Advisor with the day to day running of the department.

About your new company
Situated on the outskirts of the city of Plymouth, this shop fitting company's portfolio is growing at a rapid rate and your new role is going to help them move forward and increase their customer base even further. Working with some of the largest retailers in the UK, they plan and install bespoke shop layouts and deal with the whole process from issuing quotes, drawing up plans and managing the whole instalment process from start to finish.

About your new job
This role is not just your average administrator role so candidates who just want an easy life of data entry and the odd telephone call need not apply! You are going to be the Health and Safety Advisor's right hand person and they are going to lean on you for support to ensure the smooth running of the department. Every day is going to be different and your week will include a variety of tasks including sourcing project information from the client's database, preparing project information packs for pre-start meetings, organising site paperwork as well as post-project health and safety files and chasing up outstanding information where necessary.
You will also get the chance to get out and about on site meetings, writing and issuing minutes and will liaise with store teams and clients regarding store launch events and any charity donations.

On the job training will be provided to ensure your knowledge is up to scratch but a construction based background would be an advantage to you.

About the ideal candidate
The great thing about this client is that they don't need to see years and years of administration experience in your application. Aptitude and attitude to work is what counts here for you to really succeed so it is time to dust that cover letter off and really show your personality and work ethic as opposed to your ability to type at the speed of light! Candidates willing to learn something new every day, love to be independent and complete tasks using their own initiative would suit this role well. Also, it would be great to hear from articulate and naturally organised people who have top notch IT skills under their belt.

Due to the range of the tasks involved in your new job there are plenty of opportunities to really develop and learn other areas of the business. So if you're looking for that foot in the door to an expanding company where you get to learn all areas of the business, get started on your CV and cover letter today and show us what you've got!

Salary is entirely dependent on experience and can vary from £15k - £18k

Application process
If this sounds like your perfect role then hit the apply button and get your CV submitted. It would also give you a better chance if you write a cover letter than demonstrates not only your skills but your personality as well. They are looking for somebody to start as soon as possible so don't delay with your application!

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 2 weeks for a short telephone interview before being put forward to the client.

If you have any queries, please give the Manpower Plymouth branch a call and ask for Laura.
