IT Helpdesk Advisors required - Hours: 38 per week to be worked on a rota basis between 7.00am and 11pm Monday - Sunday, including some Bank Holidays. Therefore please be fully flexible to work these hours on a rota basis.

Manpower are pleased to be supporting their client, a well established distribution company in Preston who are looking for an additional team member to join their IT Helpdesk team at their head office.

You will provide a first class service to all end users of the internal and external IT systems. Duties will include diagnosing problems and liaise with the relevant parties, to solve problems quickly and efficiently, providing feedback and support where and when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Answering incoming calls and dealing with all internal and external retail IT related queries.
- Use information gathering skills to ensure that queries are identified and dealt with correctly.
- Logging information into a database for call analysis and information for other team members.
- Keep both internal and external customers updated of call progress and keep team updated with any new information.
- Following up queries with other departments to ensure they have been dealt with.
- Keep team members updated on any outstanding calls and of any potential problems.
- To ensure you are up to date with any new software or hardware.

- The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- A polite, friendly and professional manner.
- Enthusiasm for the job.
- The ability to work under pressure and to remain patient and calm at all times.
- A willingness and ability to listen, to ensure correct diagnosis of problems is made.
- To be flexible and reliable.
- Basic IT Skills.
- Previous experience of working in a Customer Service Operation.
