We are currently searching for Cargo Handlers and Traffic Marshalls to help our client who is based across two sites in Teignmouth and Plymouth. Ideally you will be able to travel to either site and work out of both locations, however if this is a problem please still get in touch!
Our client is based on the dockside in Teignmouth and Plymouth.

All staff members must attend a paid induction day - this will be held in Teignmouth for both locations on the 22nd & 23rd November. This would include CHIP, Manual Handling & Mooring and Unmooring, therefore you must be available for these days and committed to the role as the training is prearranged. The main role and responsibilities are outlined below for each location.
You may be asked to travel between either site during working hours on a rare occasion. A pool car will be provided under these circumstances. You must enjoy working outside as you will be 100% of the time in this role. Uniform will be provided and with Manpower you are offered a full contract of employment, 28 days annual leave ( Pro rota ) and access to our pension scheme.

~ Teignmouth ~ Cargo Handlers ~
CHIP training to be provided, this is very much a physical role that requires the ideal candidate to work in all weathers as part of a team to load and unload ships that come into the Quay. The materials you will be moving will include salt, stone, sand, clay & animal feed. This role can include being in enclosed spaces and working from heights.
Hours of work will be between 6am and 3pm

~ Plymouth ~ Traffic Marshalls ~

Specific training to be provided. Candidates will need to work within Plymouth Dock inline with the Ferry schedule. This role will include manual handling in conjunction with the ferry departure and arrival times. You will also be required to work between the car lanes directing traffic on and off the ferries.
Hours of work can vary due to the ferry schedule however a minimum of 8 hours pay will be provided per day. Ferries tend to be morning afternoon and evening. Details of this will be discussed further at interview stage.
The ideal candidate will have a full clean driving licence.
