Job family: Process Improvement
Job family definition: Responsible for conducting or participating in multi-disciplinary process improvement initiatives supporting Operations, often extending to suppliers and customers feedback. Develops and leads process improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes. Promote Quality Culture by sharing best practices for introducing, driving and sustaining Lean Six Sigma in HP.


Applies appropriate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.


Coordinates portions of initiatives involving one or more functions and project teams to drive process improvement for products offerings.
Collects, consolidates, and charts data from testing and process results for assigned portions of product and solution areas to identify trends and issues; learns and practices basic root-cause analysis, develop recommendations for resolution and track effectiveness of remedies.
Generates documentation in accordance with provided plan and detailed specifications, including budgets, resource allocation plans, and other support requirements.
Supports project communications, including creation of status reports and summaries, tracking escalations and resolutions of issues, coordinating stakeholder meetings and updates, and updating documentation.
Develops understanding of and relationships with internal project teams.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelors or Master's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent
Typically 2-4 years' experience.

Knowledge and Skills

Using data collection and analysis tools and software packages to gather, integrate and analyze data from multiple sources.
Ability to apply analytical, statistical and problem solving skills.
Understanding of industry and internal quality standards and methodologies.
Using empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate compliance with quality standards.
Knowledge of project and program methodology and requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate quality plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options.


Collaborates with peers, engineers, manufacturing and service delivery partners.
Typically partners with high-level Individual Contributors and Managers.
Supports projects requiring quality process development and improvement.
