We have an excellent graduate level opportunity for a Transport Planner in the Hull Office of our client.

The successful candidate will be joining a successful and growing company and work in an exciting and busy environment.

Due to further growth, our client now requires an additional Transport Planner to assist with full load movements throughout GB and into Ireland. Reporting to the Commercial Logistics Manager you will have responsibility for;

*Planning and coordinating driver, Full Load movements throughout GB & into Ireland
*Arranging deliveries using the most cost-effective methods available,
*Responsible for load planning
*Liaising with clients, sub-contractors and agents
*Responsible for communicating with customers and understanding customer requirements
*Perform administration tasks efficiently and to a high standard, in accordance with departmental requirements
*Preparation of documentation / reports
*Transport Costs and KPIs
*Take ownership of all queries and report feedback.
*Ensure all queries and requests are dealt with accurately and promptly
*Maintaining files/systems and completing financial and input data transactions accurately.
*Working as part of a team and contributing to the efficiency of the overall department
*Ensure company guidelines, quality, Health & Safety and service are maintained at all times

Candidate Requirements
*Have excellent problem solving abilities.
*Work to strict deadlines
*Ability to understand client's specific requests and provide necessary solutions.
*Provide clear advice to clients/customer and members of the team
*Prioritise their workload

Minimum Requirements:

*Undergraduate degree in relevant area (Logistics/Supply chain Management, Business etc.)
*Solid PC skills
*Must be proficient in Word and Excel; ideally understand/have experience of Macros etc.
*Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills
*Customer Focused
*Flexible and a strong team player
*Excellent written and verbal communication

Desirable Requirements:
*Experience within the Transport/Logistics Sector
*Management CPC - UK & International

The client will provide training for the role for the right candidate and offers an very competitive salary package.

The post is full time 40 hours and the candidate must also accept that due to the nature of the role time working outside of normal hours may occasionally be required.
