Due to the nature of this role all applicants must be SC Security Cleared.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Desktop and Service Support for our Client based in Devon. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Desktop support for supported systems and assisting the third line team in resolving server issues and deploying hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deploying images and software to workstations using Microsoft SCCM or current deployment applications
- Hardware and Software;
oInstall in accordance with procedures and documentation
oTest prior to rollout
oConduct asset audits
Research, develop, build, test and advise on workarounds, permanent fixes, requests for change (RFC), and new technology
- Installing and updating Anti-Virus software in accordance with NTIIP Procedures
- Produce and maintain records, procedures and other documentation related to the IS Service
- Adhere to all IS Policy documents, including Change & Release, Configuration, Security, QA, SHE and HR
- Liaise with internal and external support groups and other organisations regarding maintenance and support issues
- Maintain the security of the network services in accordance with the Establishment's SSPs and SyOps
- Investigate and attempt diagnoses, fault repair and resolution of assigned Service Desk Incidents and Problems
- Ensure that assigned Service Desk Support Calls are responded to and completed within the timescales laid down in the ToSP, and in accordance with Procedures
- Other duties and projects as directed by Team Lead or SDM

Essential Skills:
- Good, strong all round Desktop Support skills
- Experience in the following:
oSupporting users in a Windows domain
oSupporting Windows 7
oUser/Groups/Computer administration within Active Directory
Networking skills such as Ethernet/fibre patching and hardware installation
- Excellent communication / people skills

Desirable Skills:
- Microsoft accreditations
- Experience in the following:
oMicrosoft server 2008
oAntivirus protection / software
oExperience in an ITIL environment
oMicrosoft SCCM (particularly image and application deployment)
oHornbill Support works system experience
oMS Exchange knowledge (mainly account management)
