We have a great opportunity for a Mechanically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a specialist manufacturer based within Bolton, working a 3 shift rotating system, including nights, Monday to Friday.

Your role will involve providing mechanical and electrical maintenance on a variety of equipment including recycling machinery, robotics, conveyors and packaging machinery. You will be capable of optimising the manufacturing process and will ideally have experience with continuous improvement i.e. Kaizen, Six Sigma etc. Your role will involve working with hydraulics and pneumatics and you will have the ability to fault find on PLC's.

You will be working a 40 hour week on a 3 shift system. Week one 6am - 2pm, week two, 2pm - 10pm and week three 10pm - 6am, there is regular overtime on the weekend paid at time and a half Saturdays and double time Sundays and the willingness to work overtime will be a distinct advantage.

Ideally, you'll be apprentice trained to NVQ level 3 City & Guilds in Electro/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with experience within an FMCG environment. A Fork Lift Truck licence and mobile platform certificates would be advantageous but are not essential.
