We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Out of Hours Directories Engineer for our Client based in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving technical issues relating to the management of the User Account environment, file shares and SharePoint.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to customer generated incidents/change requests, resolving any problems that occur
- Meet required service level agreements
- Act as a point of contact within the team for other support teams and the end user.
- Ad hoc tasking as required

Essential Skills:
- Willingness to work a night shift pattern (Nightshift 12 hour shifts, 4 on, 4 off)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7 platforms and 2003/2010 Office Suite.
- Systems Administration experience in a Distributed File Service environment.
- Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal/external customers.
- Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with other support and development teams.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Willingness to work a shift pattern.
- Active Directory QARS
- File Server Shares.
- Security Permissions (Basic and advanced).
- Understanding of Roaming Profiles.
- Microsoft Outlook and Configuration of Outlook to use with Exchange.

Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of SQL Server.
- Experience, knowledge of Shell Scripting, Windows Command Line utilities
- Microsoft MCSA\MCSE
- Security Clearance

Personal Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure in a highly visible environment
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills

Due to the business needs of this role SC security clearance is an essential requirement. If applicants do not currently have SC clearance they must have photographic ID in the form of a passport or driving license, that is in date and reflects the applicants current address.
