Manpower are currently recruiting for a Mobile Technical Field Engineer to join their Client - an on-site delivery specialist for multi-vendor products and services. The successful candidate will be providing desktop support in London and the South region of England. The engineer will be looking after various accounts as well as backfilling accounts where resource is needed.

Salary will be a basic of £25,654 (including Inner London Allowance) and a Car Allowance of £4440 (or a company car if the successful applicant does not own a car) Total Package is therefore £30,094 and as a result of the mobile nature of the role - the applicant must have a full UK licence

The applicant should be professional, well presented, have good knowledge of the popular software packages and possess good communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work well on their own as well as in a team.

They need to be able to pick up and move PC equipment when required while working on their own.

The mobile desktop engineer will be required to travel to various sites in and around the London, SW and SE area. Flexibility is key when working on various account and start\finish times.


Resolution of pc software and basic hardware issues (battery swap, hdd swap and the like)
Building (o/s and required software) and deploying pcs (desktop and notebook)
Communication through call logging system or by account leadership
Experience with VIP support
A good knowledge\experience in the below:

*MS windows Operating Systems
*MS Exchange
*MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
*MS Outlook 2007\2010
*Antivirus applications
*Remote desktop takeover tools
*Desktop/printer configurations
*Good communication/relationship skills
*PC literate
*Familiar with processes and procedures
*Experience of working in a IT support environment
*Knowledge of handheld devices


To ensure that all EUC devices are built and deployed and that continuation support is then provided.

*Ensure all IMACs are completed on time.
*Ensure all incidents are completed on time.
*Work to stringent SLA's
*Escalate any issues to client management teams
