Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 17:00 and Saturday: 07:00 - 12:00

Reporting to the District Operations Manager, the Plant Supervisor is responsible for the overall control of the site and the production of concrete.

Main duties include the use of computer based systems for batching and dispatch of concrete, carrying out routine maintenance, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and supervising contractors, visitors and hauliers to ensure the safe and efficient running of the site.

*To liaise with the Customer Service Centre and ensure that production of concrete/mortar meets the requirements of the customer

*To ensure that concrete produced follows the principals of Right First Time

*To regularly inspect the plant, machinery, structures and all other facilities in accordance with the company procedures

*Carry out routine maintenance to ensure that plant downtime is minimised. Inspect for defects and report accordingly

*Maintain high levels of housekeeping. Ensure that the site, plant and associated buildings are kept in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times

*To ensure that all waste disposals, water discharges and dust emissions are dealt with in accordance with the relevant procedures

*To ensure that sufficient materials are available to meet the demands of production

*To uphold the company reputation in the local community

*To inspect incoming materials and carry out appropriate moisture checks.

*To process all inbound and outbound delivery notes as instructed - this includes receipting of incoming materials, input of waiting time, processing PDI form (Product Delivery Issues) and the posting of delivery tickets for scanning.

*To ensure that all employees/contractors and visitors to the plant follow the relevant safety procedures for the site.

*To undertake a stock take on a monthly basis

*To report Near Hits, accidents and incidents in line with company policy. This included health & safety, the environment, product quality and service

*To ensure that all customer interaction are conducted in a polite and courteous manner, maintaining the company image to the highest standard

*Report any logistics issues as soon as known to the Customer Service Centre

*To be familiar with and ensure full compliance with the policies issued on health & safety, the environment, quality control, fraud prevention and the Competition Act

*To seek advice from the District Operations Manager on matters outside the scope of a Plant Supervisors authority

*To perform any other relevant duties as requested by Management
