Manpower is partnering with leading speciality chemicals manufacturer Sika in their search for a Chemical Process Engineer. As part of the long-term succession plan at Sika's Preston site, the Chemical Process Engineer will play a key role on a number of major projects.

With a global presence underpinned by a reputation for high quality, innovative construction chemical products, Sika is well underway with ambitious expansion plans for 2016. The Preston site - which is lower-tier COMAH - is one of their key locations and is an integral operation that is vital to their success both here and across Europe.

In this pivotal role, your primary challenges as Chemical Process Engineer will include;
*Working closely with the Lead Chemical Process Engineer to deliver high profile CapEx projects
*Prioritising and coordinating a varied project portfolio that includes plant upgrades, installations and process improvements
*Overseeing the full lifecycle of projects from conception through to commissioning and delivery
*Designing plant layouts and working cross-functionally to ensure their timely delivery
*Developing relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
*Identifying and implementing suitable project management methodologies and tools to effectively monitor and track project progress
*Ensuring that key compliance and EHS regulations are adhered to (COMAH, DSEAR, LOPA, SIL)

You will work closely with the Lead Chemical Process Engineer, who will help to further develop your skills and experience which should already include;
*Degree educated within Chemical Engineering (essential)
*Experience of working within chemical batch manufacturing
*Chartered Chemical Engineer [working towards]
*Ideally experience of working in a COMAH environment
*Demonstrable knowledge of process safety standards such as LOPA, SIL and DSEAR
*Experience of administering EHS systems and procedures for projects and process changes (PUWER, DSEAR, ATEX etc.)
*Ability to build relationships quickly, and demonstrate key leadership potential
