Job description:
In conjunction with the HESMS manager conduct Safety Audits and Inspections, assessments surveys to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations.

Work within the safety department to ensure that MCS Onshore meet all the requirements under SMS/ Aviation and HSE regulations.
Assist with the implementation and coordination of the MCS Onshore SMS, with particular emphasis on Occupational Health and Safety.
Manage the HSE system, in co-ordinating with the HESMS manager, to ensure that all HSE legislation is being met. Ensuring the MCS Onshore meets all the HSE requirements/ legislation.
Manage, in coordination with the chair SAG meetings including creating agendas, minutes and following up actions.
Conduct investigations into HSE issues and as required support the internal SEI process.
Develop communications with staff around the bases regarding HSE including newsletters and statistics
Manage site HSE plans, including development with customers and review as required.
Develop safety training competency matrix and programme.
Assist managers and supervisors in the development of Occupational, COSHH, FIRE and any other necessary HSE risk assessments.
Act as a point of contact for Bases and HSE reps on HSE matters.
Participate in Safety Department initiatives and campaigns
Any other safety related duties as directed by HESMS Manager or other senior managers

Key Technical Skills / competencies:
HSE background/ Knowledge
Aviation Safety Background
Good computer Skills
Willingness to travel to company bases
Full Driving Licence
Some aviation knowledge desirable

Basic understanding of HSE/ Aviation Safety
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Desirable
Understanding of Aviation Safety Management Systems
