Manpower is recruiting on behalf of a blue chip manufacturer for a Maintenance Engineer Supervisor with a Mechanical Bias and solid Electrical skills. This 'hands-on' permanent managerial role is based in the Wakefield area on a 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotating shift pattern. Due to the nature of the product, the environment is classified as a heavy industrial manufacturing facility therefore candidates who have worked in a Chemical Engineering or Glass / Window Manufacturing or the Plastics / Extrusion industry would thrive in this environment.

In this 'hands-on' role you will be required to troubleshoot and respond to breakdowns on the following machinery: Industrial Mixers; Screw and Belt Conveyors; Pumps, 3-phase / Single phase Motors; Contactors; Coils; Bearings; Gearboxes; Gas Kilns; Compressors; Pneumatics; Hydraulics; Safety guarding and interlocks; Automated Packaging / Wrapping Machinery. The successful candidate will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer with Supervisory skills and demonstrable knowledge of organising a small team, through efficiently planning of labour, materials and machine output to achieve daily production targets.

This role will suit a driven and motivated engineer who is looking for long term stability with an extremely credible employer, who invests heavily in training and people development.

Key skills required:
* Supervisory skills, and is capable of working in a position of responsibility with the enthusiasm to drive team performance
* Experience of maintaining and troubleshooting with autonomous, preventative and predictive maintenance schedules and breakdowns
* Experience of automated systems within a high volume manufacturing environment.
* Ability to work at height and in confined spaces
