Description

Manpowers client have an urgent requirement for a Contracts Manager for a Permanent position based in Glasgow You will lead a team of around 25, providing direction and strategy to ensure successful, on budget and on time delivery whilst ensuring work takes place in a safe and controlled manner.You will be the main contact between client and team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Overall responsibility for delivering contracts and programming of works, delivering projects on time, to budget and to the quality required with a definite focus on improving margins
 Ensure H& S legislation is adhered to and maintain knowledge of current legislation
 Manage internals teams, providing outstanding leadership and direction
 Effective utilisation of sub-contractors to ensure optimum generation from labour resources
 Report regularly to the Director of Projects/Financial Director on project performance, budgets and timescales
 Resolve disputes and identify areas for improvement in existing contracting processes
 Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and issues to support the delivery of a robust and effective supply chain management service
 To deliver commercial savings
 As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff. This may include providing training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.
 To develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.


ENVIRONMENT:

 Work to reduce the amount of pollution, particularly CO2 emissions, caused by inefficient energy consumption.
 Work with materials and equipment responsibly to reduce the amount of waste of materials Dispose of waste in the correct manner determined by our policies and legislation.

 Deliver excellent Customer Service at all times
 Present a professional image through high standards of personal appearance including upkeep of work wear and equipment provided
 Report back to supervisor / manager any improvements that can be made to our Quality systems and customer service.
