Our specialist client engineers and manufactures in plastic parts ranging from one-off prototypes and small batch production of specialist parts, right through to high volume runs. The company is part of an international organisation and a market leader in the manufacture and distribution of engineering thermoplastics with customers from some of the biggest names in the aerospace, electronics, semi-conductor, chemical, medical, mining and marine industries.

As part of their continued growth and investment in the future, we are now recruiting for the following:-

Apprentice Trainer - Engineering

Hours of Work: 8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

The successful applicant will be responsible for the Group's CNC Machining apprentices at the South Wales and Bristol sites and will be expected to split their time between the two sites.

This new role will involve initially setting up the in-house apprenticeship training programme and training packs for both sites, liaising with the external NVQ assessors, providing in-house training in aspects of health and safety, turning and milling, monitoring and reviews of the apprentices, holding regular reviews with the production managers and the colleges, and maintaining links to the local schools, colleges and relevant forums/groups.

Candidates must be experienced, skilled engineers with experience of turning and milling. You would also need to have excellent, all round engineering skills and the aptitude to train and mentor people and act as a role model.

Any teaching or NVQ assessor qualifications, or previous experience in a similar role, would be advantageous.

Due to the travelling involved, a driving licence is essential.
