My NHS client in Newburn are looking to recruit HR Administrators to join their busy team on a temp ongoing assignment min 3 months working full time office hours.

The role will involve:-

To provide general and effective administrative support to the HR department.

To answer routine queries arising from staff regarding employment and recruitment issues.

Responsible for updating and maintaining the HR computer record systems to ensure accurate and effective management data is available to respond to queries and to produce reports.

To answer telephone calls, deal with routine enquiries and take messages in the absence of other staff in the department.

Respond promptly and courteously to all enquiries either in person or by telephone, fax, letter or e-mail.

To maintain all office systems to ensure they are co-ordinated efficiently and effectively to enable rapid information retrieval.

Responsible for ensuring all personal files are updated accurately, effectively and timely with relevant correspondence.

To input information onto the HR Database (Electronic Staff Record) and to ensure that this information is accurate and in line with Trust Policies and Procedures.

To take and type up minutes and notes of meetings, disciplinary meetings and hearings.

To administer and process departmental post.

To assist with the organisation of meetings and interviews.

To assist with the production and distribution of documents.

To order stationery, supplies, books and office equipment for the department as directed by the manager.

To undertake any other general administrative duties within the department at the request of the manager.

Deal with enquiries from managers, staff and members of the public regarding vacancies, ensuring that accurate information is given and that suitable candidates are actively encouraged to apply and to promote the image of the Trust as a good employer.

Liaise as necessary between client departments and candidates/applicants, to ensure that they are aware of the progress of their vacancy/application.

Co-ordinate and process correspondence connected with the recruitment process from initial advert to contract ensuring high quality documents are produced and a prompt and efficient response to managers and applicants is delivered.

Be responsible for arranging interviews, ensuring Work Permits, Occupational Health, Police Clearances, registration and reference checks on successful candidates are processed to ensure the smooth running of the recruitment process.

Be responsible for the administration associated with new starters including liaising with managers over start dates and induction arrangements, ensuring that full and accurate records are established and paperwork is processed promptly to ensure that all new employees are smoothly integrated into the workforce.

Prepare and issue offer letters and contracts along with associated documentation, and provide advice in line with Trust policy and procedure.

Participate in the Trust's performance review and personal development planning process on an annual basis.

Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with the line manager as part of the personal development planning process.

Achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales.

The post holder will be expected to maintain the complete confidentiality of all material and information to which they have access and process.

Ideal candidates will ideally have experience in the following areas:-

Experience of NHS Employment Check Standards, ESR, DBS and NHS Jobs.
All Admin associated with recruitment and new starters.
Experience of high volume (i.e. managing 40 - 50+ Candidates at a time), high paced recruitment is essential - Contact Centre experience would be advantageous.
