Facilities Support Assistant (Handyman) - Portsmouth
This will be a part time permanent position based on 20 hours per week.

Salary - £19,000 pa pro-rata, rising to £20,000 pro-rata on completion of probation period and task book
Applicant MUST have a full UK driving license
We are currently recruiting a Facility Support Assistant, accountable to the Site FM Engineering Manager (Eng. Mgr.) for the timely and successful completion of Hard and Soft Facilities Management within the bounds of individual competency and qualification.

Main Tasks
*Undertake Facility Support Assistant roles, as directed by the Eng. Mgr. in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, appropriate to task and within personal capability/competence.
*Ensure that all cleaning routines are complied with; provide an internal cleaning service including all glass areas.
*Undertake waste management roles, including collection services and monitoring of contracted services.
*Provide a general Porterage service.
*Provide out of hours call out support as required.
*Undertake Portable Appliance Testing, if/when suitably qualified, as directed by Eng. Mgr.
*Undertake external litter clearing and cleaning as required.
*Complete periodic Meter reading and reporting as required by the Eng. Mgr.
*Undertake Fire Alarm testing duties.
*Emergency Light testing duties.
*Undertake relevant to competency, low risk minor mechanical maintenance.
*Undertake low risk minor building and fabric maintenance/repair tasks.
*Act as escort to specialist contractors who must be escorted at all times when on-site, as required.
*To ensure compliance with all statutory legislation and working best practice.
*Maintain a constant awareness of Health and Safety matters that may emerge within the facility and, where directed/able ensure rectification meets relevant legislation.
*Provide a response service during adverse weather. (Gritting, snow and ice clearance).
*Undertake any other reasonable task that is within competence as directed by line management.
