IT service desk
This internationally recognised conglomerate is currently recruiting for a qualified IT service desk analyst to work on an ongoing basis, located in Portsmouth area.
The business has recently won some prestigious long term contracts and because of this, need the services of experienced IT service desk analysts.
The Job Role
To provide first line IT support for the company with an impeccable customer service attitude. You will be a team player with great communication skills to prioritise and escalate any issues to senior staff. You will be expected to deal with calls first if in your criteria of expertise before any escalation
You must be able to listen and determine the level of the call before logging it in against your agreed SLAs, your IT knowledge and experience is essential with an ability to prioritise and be able to communicate effectively. Communication to the customer and staff alike must be coherent and succinct o how to deal with the IT problem. You will have targets and be expected to be proactive if there are recurring issues.
Essential are previous help desk experience and dealing with service management systems that deal with incidents and requests.
You will be expected to have an understanding of Active Directory, Exchange, Cisco IP Phones, Remote Assistance/Desktop, and Server Infrastructure. Whilst general knowledge in troubleshooting for Microsoft Applications, Printer faults and Operating systems is to be expected.
The initial job is for a 6 month contract with possibility for longer afterwards
37.5 hours per week. Days shift.
Based in the Botley area moving towards to Portsmouth after a few weeks
