Our client is currently recruiting for a Vehicle Mechanic Team Leader based in Lyneham. This role involves receiving detailed JAMES reports through the EFR systems delegating and monitoring until completion.

Responsibilities:
* Planning the sections workload and record daily equipment state on the Weekly Equipment Availability Return
* Responsible for all JAMES maintenance/servicing and inspection entries and records.
* Responsible for prioritising workload as required ensuring maximum availability, so as to minimise disruption to training delivery
* Plan, Control and monitor the progress of all work in the section
* Attend production meetings for line managers
* Provide task-worthy equipment, to safely support the delivery of training
* Highlight, process and submit work requiring back loading to a second line repair facility
* Ensure all BLR items are packaged and returned to stores
* Provide local manufacture of items not available through the supply system
* Process the back loading of any spares not required for jobs
* Responsible for production and servicing standards within the department
* Plan all work ensuring all necessary materials are available prior to commencement
* Responsible for ensuring a high standard of Engineering Hygiene is practised by all department trades
* Control all special tools and equipment in the section
* Responsible for notifying the Equipment Support Manager at the earliest opportunity any equipment not available for training courses
* Maintain records of completed/backlog of work by trade group
* Draft and submit relevant equipment returns
* Supervise equipment records and the progress of job cards/JAMES
* Inform the QE/WM of any failure of workshop tools and equipment
* Initiate relevant EFR and Damage reports
* Carry out their duties in accordance with the Unit Equipment Care Directive and all relevant BSI/ISO 9000/2000 processes and procedures
* Carry out any other tasks within the individual's competence as required by their line management

Qualifications & Requirements:
* Supervisory Management Experience - Essential
* Workshop planning and control experience - Essential
* Fully JAMES trained (Training can be given) - Desirable
* NVQ Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance and repair REME Class (minimum 5 years exp) - Essential
* REME Workshop or civilian equivalent experience in a supervisory role - Essential
* Group B , C and H Licence - Desirable
* MHE/FLRT Operator - Desirable
* Repair experience to Level 3 in a heavy goods/tracked vehicle workshop - Desirable
