Great job opportunity for a Materials Engineer based at our client's site in Newton Abbot, Devon.

You'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing processes; having strong attention to detail and ensuring production demands are met on time.

As part of your role as the Materials Engineer, you'll also:
-Undertake appropriate preparation, testing, and analysis of components, metals, associated products, and processes.
-Provide guidance on raw material purchase and acceptance.
-Provide materials advice and guidance on the machining and processing
-Have a knowledge of working with exotic metals and machining

Minimum 2nd class degree or equivalent in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy / consideration will be given to Scientific degrees (Physics/Chemistry) where appropriate experience can be demonstrated.

Previous metallurgical and materials testing and analysis experience in the Aerospace, Power Generation industry, Medical, Nuclear, or Automotive manufacturing or research and development would be considered advantageous.

A high level of computer literacy and communication skills (English verbal and written) are essential for this role as Lab reports and presentations of findings are required on a daily basis.

The role is working, Monday-Friday 37hrs per week on a permanent basis.
