An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Brand Manager within the Oral Care Team, based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Blackfriars, London. This is a temporary role to start ASAP and expected to run for 12 months. The salary for this position is paying between £30,400 - £32,300 per annum, depending on experience.


Given the exciting growth agenda for toothbrushes, we are looking for a Global Assistant Brand Manager who will support the Global Brand Manager under both the SMILE and Closeup brand, with key focus on:
*Co-leading the relaunch of the whole toothbrush portfolio for Smile Brand (Mentadent, Signal, Prodent, PS, etc.) in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and South East Asia.
*Leading cross-functional project teams (R&D, Supply Chain, etc.) and working directly with a significant number of local Brand Building teams in bringing innovations to market
*Driving the toothbrush agenda in Europe, the largest region
*Developing breakthrough, super-premium innovation, packaging & communication

Key accountabilities & deliverables:

*Support the development of a global super-premium innovation, with a revolutionary business model, that covers 3-4 brands, with a focus on Developed markets.
*Deliver the global packaging relaunch, that will both upgrade Unilever's shelf presence, and harmonize and simplify the packaging portfolio
*Drive the toothbrush agenda in Europe, our largest yet most challenging region, where markets are declining due to the commoditization of personal care.
*Champion key capability work streams - multipacks strategy, perfect support model, shopper & in-store strategy
*Work closely with docking countries to ensure smooth operations (distribution, support plan, media plan) and readiness for growth.
*Monitor and review effectiveness of 2016 launches and business performance in order to apply learnings and corrective actions to upcoming new innovation in 2017
*Assist in developing monthly business reviews for France & Italy, our top two markets in Europe.
*Strong lead of cross-functional teams including Finance, Consumer & Market Insight, R&D, Supply Chain to ensure successful project implementation in countries.
*Work closely with Developed countries to ensure smooth operations (distribution, support plan, media plan) and readiness for growth.
*Land projects effectively by working with cross functional global teams (i.e., CMI, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, CD)
*Work with packaging and advertising agencies to brief, design and deliver specific elements of projects and marketing campaigns
*Lead the budget planning and tracking with timely updates to stakeholders

Key requirements & experience:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion to excel, who demonstrates bias for action and an eye for detail, who is not afraid to get his/her hands dirty. And finally someone who is up for a big challenge and significant responsibility.

*Project Management - ability to lead and manage multiple projects across multiple countries, working with cross-functional team to ensure on time in full delivery.
*Analytical Skills - critical thinking skills, ability to evaluate financial performance, projects P&L & understanding consumers to highlight gaps
*Organisation Skills- Able to manage timelines, budgets and multiple deliverables and good eye for detail
*Ability to adapt and multi-task in a fast-paced/high-change environment
*Good understanding of developing concepts and experience in product innovation
*Proficient in MS Project, PowerPoint & Excel
*Confident with new IT tools

*Bachelor degree in any discipline
*Ideally minimum 3 years of Marketing experience, preferably for FMCG products
*Experience developing concepts and brand communication
*Demonstrated top performance in project management
*Basic level of Strategic thinking
*Analytical approach to working with concepts, consumers
*Problem solving mindset
*Able to work with multiple people from different nationalities and backgrounds
*Experienced in stakeholder management
*A high degree of rigor & order
*Flexibility to travel when required

*Internal from UL, or previous experience within Unilever, to rapidly adjust to company culture.
*Regional or Global exposure is a plus but not mandatory
*Experience working with in a matrix organization is desirable
