Manpower is partnering with leading construction chemicals manufacturer in their search for a Maintenance Manager. To join the team at their Preston facility, the Maintenance Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that the site is able to perform an efficient manufacturing service.

With a global presence underpinned by a reputation for high quality, innovative speciality chemicals products, the business is well underway with ambitious expansion plans for 2016. The Preston site is well-established, and is one of their two Global Technology Centres.

In this pivotal role as Maintenance Manager, your core challenges will include;
*Providing leadership and direction to the maintenance team, to ensure that site equipment is continually operating at maximum efficiency
*Playing a leading role in major projects across the site to provide Engineering and Maintenance expertise
*Delivering process safety improvements through HAZOPs, LOPA and SIL
*Ensuring that the site is up to date and in line with EHS regulations
*Overseeing the continued implementation and ongoing development of a planned preventative maintenance programme (PPM)
*Assisting with the development of the site HSE plan in line with the location's responsibilities as a [lower tier] COMAH site
*Controlling the maintenance budget whilst identifying areas for CapEx investment or cost-savings
*Providing coaching and mentoring to the maintenance team, whilst facilitating continued professional development
*Working closely with other UK sites to share best-practice and when needed, lead strategic maintenance projects

*Proven track record of leading maintenance within a chemicals, oil & gas or petrochemical environment
*Thorough working knowledge - and practical experience - of COMAH safety regulations
*Strong understanding and practical application of process safety
*In-depth knowledge and practical implementation of planned preventative maintenance programmes
*Demonstrable working knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX
*Experience with, or at least knowledge of some of the following: HAZOPs, SIL, PSSR, LOPA, FMEA
*Experience of leading cross-functional teams
*A champion for promoting an EHS culture
*Able to strategically plan and execute full lifecycle, cross-functional projects
