We are looking for three undergraduate or postgraduate students to join our Technical team at the School of Jewellery.

The role will be to provide out of core hours support for the Studios Process rooms and the Basement workshops on rota, working alongside the technical staff on site during those times.

You will need to be studying a course at the School of Jewellery that covers a wide range of skills in all areas of studio practice including but not limited to cutting, forming and processing a range of metals and other resistant materials. You should have experience of using a broad range of machining processes and have received an induction on a significant number of manufacturing processes available in the basement machine shop. Good communication and customer service skills are essential. You must not have any outstanding fines with hires and loans to be considered for this position.

The role is a great opportunity to develop your own skills within the School of Jewellery and get involved in the running of such a facility. The Technical Team will endeavour to strengthen and broaden the skill sets that the individual has to enable the successful candidate to develop as an emerging professional.
