The company who are recruiting for an additional Customer Service Agent are medium size businesses who have been established in central Winchester for over 20 years. They have built up a great customer base by offering a high standard of customer service and providing some technical and consultative based solutions matched to the requirements of their customers.
You would be working with a small team of customer service agents who probably have a similar background to you - in that they have recently left education and still want to carry on learning whilst earning a salary!
The company have an in-house trainer on site to show you the ropes and act as a support whilst you are learning the role. The team are friendly and will take you under their wings to give you as much help as possible and the Customer Service Manager is approachable and equally as friendly as the team.
So what will your day look as a Customer Service Agent look like? You will be office based taking a fairly high number of incoming calls from customers. Each call is different and each query you answer is varied. This is not a complaints handling or sales role - it is simply offering practical advice and guidance to customers.
What skills do you need to do this job? A good aptitude for Maths and English is essential as you will be emailing quotes and letters to customers so having a very keen eye for detail is important. The company are keen to meet recent graduates or college leavers who have been perhaps working alongside their education in a customer services environment.
You will fit in well if you have warm and positive nature, are in your element when helping customers and thrive on working within a close knit team.
What are the hours and the salary? This is a full time, permanent role working Monday-Friday plus Saturday per month which provides you with overtime on top of the basic salary of £14,500.
