About our Manchester contact centre

Think you know what working in the British Airways contact centre in Manchester is like? Think again.

This is so much more than your average contact centre job. You won't be working from scripts - it wouldn't be possible, every single call will be different. And you won't be dealing with hundreds of calls on every shift – spending half an hour on one call is quite normal here.

About the roles:

Customer Contact Advisors
You'll be the voice of British Airways, helping passengers who fly with British Airways very regularly, whose questions and problems are unique to them - and them alone. Solving problems if they arise, you'll make customer satisfaction your number one priority every time. These are some of our most valued customers, so having top-notch customer care and problem solving skills is a must. And as you'll assist the occasional celebrity too, being discreet and security-conscious will be all-important as well.

What's in it for you?

Because you’ll be working with some of our most important customers, you can be sure that we’ll give you all the training and support you need to excel in your role. In fact, all our team leaders in Manchester were promoted from within.

You’ll start your career here with six weeks of classroom-based training, to teach you the basics. After that, during your first few weeks on the phone you’ll have someone on hand to guide you through the finer details of our processes. And as your career progresses, you’ll benefit from a buddy system to give you ongoing support along the way.

You’ll be working in an office that’s got real busy. It’s not a noisy place to work, but you’ll definitely feel the energy and passion around the offices – it’s a warm, friendly atmosphere where people are always willing to go the extra mile and help one another. There’s an onsite subsidised restaurant, an onsite coffee shop, alfresco dining and regular team building events, like Fresh Fruit Fridays, Comic Relief days, and other charity events.

Outside of your day-to-day work, there’s plenty of opportunities to socialise with the rest of the team. Although we do not have on-site parking, you’ll benefit from excellent transport links to the office. The Metrolink is on the doorstep, meaning it’s only a 10 minute journey to Manchester town centre, and it’s ideally situated on the busiest bus network in Europe.

Are you determined to succeed in everything you do? You belong with us.
