We are looking to employ four current Birmingham City University students on a 12 week-long project to produce a series of video blogs for the University's digital marketing activity. We hope to be able to extend this at a later point if the project is successful.

Starting April 3rd, you would be required to work for up to 6.5 hours per week to deliver one video blog per month and publishing content to the University's Snapchat channel either one day per week, or one week per month, on a rota basis.
The videos may take the format of diary entries in a bedroom/home, or tours around the campus and city. They are designed to provide an honest, peer-to-peer guide of what it's like to be a student at the University, and address any key worries or issues faced by prospective or current students.

Key skills and person specification

* Must be confident in front of a camera
* Must have a strong and entertaining personality
* Must be able to speak in an informal, friendly style, whilst being aware of maintaining the university's reputation and providing useful information
* Be aware of information needed by prospective students about choosing a university and the things they may be worried about
* May have an interest in social media, vlogging, pursuing a TV presenting career, or getting work experience in a social media marketing environment.
* Must be willing to share their own personal anecdotes about issues they have come across, currently experiencing or overcome during their time at the University. (Current students only)
* Able to suggest ideas for future content

This project would provide a valuable work experience opportunity for students from the following courses: Media and Communication / Acting / Marketing / Digital Marketing / Digital or Film Technology, or anyone interested in social media or blogging regardless of their course.
