MENTOR IN RESIDENCE AT THE BIRMINGHAM SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

Joining the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design as a Mentor in Residence you will be responsible for mentoring undergraduate students and supporting academic staff with module delivery within design studio.
We have two positions of 3 hours per week for a maximum of 14 weeks for each of the courses listed above.
You will be a Masters student currently studying in the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design who has a passion for your discipline and a keen interest in academia. These appointments are part of the School's innovative "Hot House" initiative which is a School-wide strategy to foster emerging talent, in this instance, potential Visiting Tutors and staff of the future.
As a Mentor in Residence you will be expected to:
- Assist with studio sessions
- Be a positive role model for your mentees, providing academic advice and motivation to succeed
- Work closely with an academic mentor
It is essential that you have a relevant degree and have the ability to be a positive role model for current students.
