The Project

The Organisational Development & Learning (OD&L) team at BCU are seeking a tech savvy and creative individual to support the design of a number of e-learning courses, which will form a suite of mandatory training for staff at the University.

The team have bought a number of generic e-learning modules, which, in partnership with experts across the University, now need to be 'bespoke' in order to include the processes and scenarios that are relevant to staff working at BCU. So, while you don't need expertise in the particular subject areas, you do need a flair for producing creative and engaging content. This could be text, graphics, or a combination of both.

We will provide access to the software used to create the e-learning courses and a suite of online training to help you learn how to use it. You will bring the confidence and enthusiasm to learn to use new tech and a willingness to share that learning with other team members.

The courses you will help create will include topics such as Data Protection, Information Security, Safeguarding, Environmental Awareness and Equality & Diversity. You will be involved in all aspects of the project, from initial consultation with staff about their ideas, through to design, testing and launching the new courses.

We are looking for:

  • A natural flair for design and the ability to create engaging content (written and graphical)
  • Confidence in communicating with others, both in writing and face to face
  • High degree of IT skills
  • Confidence to learn and use new software
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written English
  • Organisational skills
