ADM are looking to recruit a team of hard working and friendly people to be responsible for helping new international students and assisting them with their journey at university. You will have the privilege of being one of the first university representatives the international students meet in person therefore it is vital that you create a positive first impression of Birmingham City University
The Buddy Scheme starts in November 2016 to September 2017 and you must be available to work around 4 hours a week during term time.
Full training will be provided to ensure that you are confident to deliver a positive, high quality and professional buddy service to our new international students.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to work generally on campus but this may extend to attending social and other events elsewhere:
*To provide support to international students who have been specifically allocated to you by the mentor team.
*To be willing to undertake training and continuing professional development when opportunities are made available, in order to improve confidence and skills in the role of Student Buddy.
*To maintain regular communication with their allocated students via email, phone and social media.

Interview dates will be week commencing 3rd November 2016 with a view to start on 10th November 2016.
