This is your chance to join the team at E.ON as a Customer Service Advisor at our offices in Bedford.

When a customer has logged a query or problem, you’ll be the back office support that will make sure their issue is sorted out quickly and efficiently. You’ll use your great problem solving skills to find out what’s gone wrong, and will take the best course of action to get things back on track.

This isn’t a contact centre role, but if picking up the phone is the best way to get a problem solved, that’s exactly what you’ll do – our Customer Service Advisors make around half a dozen calls a day.

You’ll be proactive, with excellent problem solving, communication, customer service, and administration skills. You’ll be helping customers who have come across an issue with their energy account, so you’ll also be empathetic and will understand how they feel, and what the best way to sort out their issue would be, treating our customers fairly at all times.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you’ll receive an award-winning benefits package – including 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, an annual bonus scheme, and your salary will go up as your skills and expertise develop too. Comprehensive training will be given when you start, as well as ongoing support throughout your career here, and there will be opportunities to progress in your role and climb the ladder if you’re the ambitious type.

These customer service roles are permanent full-time (37 hours per week) positions or part-time positions.  We have a range of working patterns available for part-time advisors which are:

  • 20 hours, 5 days per week, from either 8am to 12 noon or 12 noon to 4pm.
  • 30 hours, 5 days per week, from either 8am to 2pm, or 2pm to 8pm.
  • 20 hours, 4 days per week, from either 8am to 1pm or 3pm to 8pm.
  • 30 hours, 4 days per week, with a range of hours from 8am to 8pm.

All working patterns include one in 4 Saturdays, but no Sundays and you’ll be required to cover one 8pm finish a week as well as one 8pm finish on a Friday per month. You’ll know your working patterns 12 weeks in advance.  In order to ensure you have everything you need to be successful in this role, you’ll have 4 weeks of full-time training before starting part-time working patterns.  Please do not apply if these working patterns are not suitable as these are the only options we can offer.
