Ford Credit Europe Bank plc is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company and offers Ford customers and dealers a variety of retail and wholesale automotive financial products and services through the Ford Credit brand name. Ford Credit Europe has established a new business centre based in Manchester city centre to provide financial services support for its UK retail customers and European Ford Dealer Network.
The Wholesale Funding and Dealer Credit teams are organised by region and most Dealer Credit Specialists are required to be fluent and conduct business in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Dealer and Fleet Credit Specialists are responsible for the full cycle credit management of a Dealer lending portfolio of low to medium risk/complexity Dealers, representing the Ford Brand. To manage their Dealer portfolio Dealer Credit Specialists will interact with areas across Ford Credit and directly liaise with Ford Dealers, National Sales Companies and external third parties and representatives as required. As an operational department, the work load is dynamic, driven by external and internal customer service requirements.
Key position responsibilities will include:
*Manage the regional Dealer lending portfolio, supported by the Dealer Credit Analysts, ensuring all actions are completed on a timely basis and within agreed process /policies
*Building, developing and managing funding relationships with senior Dealer management (e.g. Managing Director/Finance Director/Operations Director) of medium to high risk/complexity Ford Dealers
*Carry out desk based and (as necessary) customer facing credit assessments of medium to high risk/complexity Dealers, reviewing financial and non-financial data at a company, sector and macro level
*Prepare and propose recommendations on credit proposals and credit reviews for decision by Credit Committees (including high risk credit concerns), ensuring clear, concise, business focused assessment for fully informed Credit decision making, including all necessary compliance checks (OFAC, PEPs, KYC, etc.)
*Monitor and control credit risk in existing Dealer portfolio, identifying any risk escalation trigger events and taking/proposing appropriate risk mitigation actions
*Liaise closely with Business Support area on High Risk Dealers with a view to protecting Ford Credit's assets
*Supporting to Dealer Credit Analysts in a training, developing and coaching role as required
*Maintain controls to ensure that credit reviews are completed and approved on a timely basis
*Draft credit releases and distribute approved credit files and credit releases.
*Structure, negotiate, and manage to completion any non-standard credit risk proposals
*Prepare and manage documentation requirements for all facility change situations, including introduction of new facilities or withdrawal of existing lines, and/or additional security requirements, working with external advisors as required
*Liaise closely with regional locations and National Sales Companies on High Risk Dealers, Dealer exits, terminations or new points of entry to develop open lines of communication between stakeholders
*Identify and develop (in conjunction with the regional locations) profitable new business opportunities
*Work with Wholesale Operations and Wholesale Audit & Controls teams to resolve queries relating to the administration and usage of the dealer's facilities or credit collection issues
*Be a member of certain Credit Committees, and attend and present (where applicable) to the higher level Credit Committees
*Ensure timely provision of monitoring and control information from Dealers
*Take/propose appropriate risk mitigation actions as required
*Monitor and control credit risk in existing Dealer portfolio in order to proactively manage the portfolio and to try to anticipate potential Dealer problems
*Develop Dealer Credit Risk Management best practices and training to share within Dealer Credit teams, developing skill sets and focusing on improving processes and enhancing credit assessment
*Support and provide vacation cover to other Dealer Credit roles as required.
*Ad-hoc work, as required, to enhance full cycle risk management of Dealer and Fleet portfolios

Person specification:
*Previous experience in an financial analysis or risk role, ideally within similar industry sector
*Ability to analyse financial and other data and interpret this succinctly to utilise in decision making
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Portuguese and Spanish
*Must be able to demonstrate a focus on delivering results, with strong organisational skills
*Evidence of effective communication and confident presentation skills, with an ability to interact with internal and external audiences at all levels of the business
*Ability to work independently to meet deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency
*Understand and consistently apply fair treatment of customers
*Ability to acquire and put into practice new knowledge and skills, developed though on the job training
*Willing to cross-cover within business centre to support other teams as required to help maintain overall quality of service
Additional information:
Positions operation on a full-time basis, over a 37.5 hour week, hours may vary between 7am-5pm to support European locations as required. Some Bank Holiday working may also be required.
