HCL SELECT MANPOWER FOR EXCLUSIVE UK RECRUITMENT NEEDS

HCL BPO Services (NI) Ltd., a global provider of contact center services, has appointed Manpower UK Ltd. to handle its recruitment needs in Northern Ireland

The contract worth £10 million will see Manpower providing staff to HCL as well as providing on site HR services to the company in Northern Ireland. In the UK, HCL BPO focuses on providing a range of services to leading global companies including contact centre and business process solutions. HCL BPO UK operation is located in Belfast employing around 1,000 staff.

HCL BPO’s recruitment needs have to date been provided by three recruitment agencies, including Manpower. Under the agreement, Manpower will become the sole supplier to HCL from 3rd May 2004. At this point all 250 staff currently supplied by the other agencies will transfer their employment to either Manpower or HCL. Manpower anticipates it will then employ around 700 staff at the centre.

Paul Duddy, Senior Human Resource Manager at HCL BPO, comments: “Making sure we have a co-ordinated approach to our HR needs will play an important feature in our future business success. Manpower has demonstrated consistently an excellent understanding of not only our recruitment needs, but also our general HR requirements and business position. As a global company, Manpower has the resource and experience to help us meet our corporate goals.”

Derek Brum, Contract Account Manager for Manpower, adds: “We are very proud that HCL BPO has recognised our experience in developing cost effective and business efficient solutions to all aspects of the HR process. In turn, the on site operational team must be recognised for all their hard work in helping Manpower achieve this position. We are very much looking forward to extending our relationship with HCL BPO.”
