that a local MP has taken an interest in the work we do and recognises
the important role we play in the community. Manpower is committed
to improving local access to the labour market for all through a
retail approach to job hunting. Our aim is to ensure that everyone
in the local community is able to find the job that best suits them."
Commenting on the visit, Mr Marris said:
"As a member of the Work and Pensions Select Committee, I
was particularly interested to hear about Manpower's initiatives
under the Government's New Deal programme and Working Links, a public-private
partnership between Manpower, JobCentre Plus, Cap Gemini and Ernst
& Young to help the long-term unemployed find work."
He was also interested to learn of Manpower's employment briefing
in Birmingham, taking place between 8am and 9.30am on 12th November
