Manpower UK this week hosted a delegation of Chinese government officials at its London Victoria offices. David Arkless, Head of Corporate Affairs at Manpower comments, “ We are delighted to welcome our delegates from China as this gives us the opportunity to share our best practice techniques in workforce management with the Chinese Government. With over 50 years experience in the recruitment industry, Manpower is well positioned to share its experiences and insights with regards to the recruitment industry, in the hope that these will lend themselves to the Chinese labour market and its present process of redevelopment.”

Manpower is a world leader in the staffing industry, providing workforce management services and solutions to customers through 4,000 offices in 63 countries.

The Chinese officials marked the end of their UK tour with a half-day visit to Manpower, having met with the Department for Trade and Industry and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation earlier in the week.

Mr Shaochang of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and head of the delegation: “Manpower’s experience in the recruitment industry is of particular interest and importance in terms of providing an insight into how Shanghai can shape the infrastructure of its recruitment industry. As a new and developing economy, we look to learn from and where possible, borrow workforce management techniques that have effectively worked for Manpower UK for so many years. We are grateful for the sharing of experience and the insight on the world of work they have shared with us.”
