MANPOWER’S INTELLIGENT CANDIDATE
SELECTION SYSTEM WINS
BEST CRM PROJECT AT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AWARDS 2003
PowerBase.net comes top in class in CRM category and Gains
Third Place in Premier Project Award
London, UK, 5th/8th December 2003– Manpower Inc., a worldwide
provider of higher-value staffing services, has won the Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) category at the Information Management
Awards 2003. Manpower’s innovative, web-based intelligent
Candidate Selection system, PowerBase.net, also gained third place
in the Premier Project category of the awards, and was the only
product specifically designed to meet the complex CRM demands of
the staffing industry to be included in the nominees. The winners
were announced at an awards dinner and presentation held on 4th
December 2003 at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
The Information Management Awards recognised PowerBase.net as the
most innovative and effective technology currently available to
manage the complex relationships of the staffing industry. PowerBase.net
has been designed and developed specifically for Manpower, and effectively
mimics the ‘human’ approach to candidate selection,
working as an enhancement to Manpower’s comprehensive selection
and interviewing process. This process collates candidate information
in a range of diverse areas including location, availability, skills,
qualifications, experience and aspirations. The net effect is to
provide a qualified shortlist of ‘best-fit’ potential
recruits to clients in moments. This enhances overall client satisfaction,
while also increasing candidate loyalty by optimising deployment
according to individual skills, qualifications, experience and expectations.
Yoav Michaely, executive vice president and managing director, Manpower
EMEA, comments: “We are delighted that PowerBase.net has won
the CRM award at this year’s Information Management Awards.
Manpower has always strived to lead the staffing industry in terms
of service and solutions, and use of technology is crucial in support
of this. The PowerBase.net project is a key element of a wider CRM
strategy to enhance our relationships with clients and candidates
alike, and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to develop innovative
and unique solutions to improve our performance. Our achievement
in winning this award recognises benefits that PowerBase.net provides
not only to Manpower but also to our customers and candidates.”
PowerBase.net is driven by an intelligent, fully automated candidate/vacancy-matching
engine based on NCorp’s Ijen technology. It enables Manpower
consultants to closely match candidates with a client’s requirements,
as well as capturing details of communications with clients and
candidates in real-time. Job seekers can be ‘reversed matched’
to vacancies, and conversely, candidate search criteria can be tailored
according to an individual client’s needs.
PowerBase.net is browser-based, giving Manpower consultants access
to the system and its capabilities whether in the office or on-site
with a client. Importantly, the system also offers a single view
of all available resources and vacancies across the EMEA region,
rather than just those in a particular market.
The key benefit of PowerBase.net is that it enables Manpower consultants
to compile a qualified list of suitable, high-quality candidates
to fit specific client briefs in a matter of seconds – with
almost 100 per cent accuracy. This means that client requests can
be answered first time, every time, in line with Manpower’s
objective to provide the best service in the industry to its clients.
For Manpower itself, this also equates to a potential saving of
up to 125 man-days per day across the company’s EMEA operations,
thereby freeing consultants to focus on other, equally important
aspects of client service.
PowerBase.net rollout is currently taking place across all Manpower’s
offices in the EMEA region, and will be rolled out globally over
the next several years, yielding an estimated additional 6,000 candidate/vacancy
matches per year. Once the rollout to all Manpower locations is
complete, 12,000 consultants working in 4,000 offices in 63 countries
worldwide will use the PowerBase.net system.
