MANPOWER DRIVING WINS NATIONAL CONTRACT WITH SAINT-GOBAIN

Manpower Driving is delighted to announce it has been appointed by Saint-Gobain as the supplier of all their temporary drivers across the UK. The contract will see Manpower providing Saint-Gobain with Category C class drivers to its national network of over 450 sites.

Saint-Gobain, are involved in a wide range of manufacturing and building materials distribution activities (subsidiary companies include Jewson and Graham) and have chosen Manpower Driving to meet its driver needs at a time when the UK faces a massive driver shortage. Andrew Blakesley, Director of Manpower Driving, believes that Manpower Driving will rise to the occasion in finding and training people to meet the growing driver skills shortage that Saint Gobain, amongst others, is experiencing.

Says Blakesley: " We are confident that we will be successful in providing up to one hundred drivers a week with Category C licences. Experience is not essential, as part of the contract win includes a training budget that will allow Manpower to facilitate lorry loader training at no expense to candidates, which will provide young and inexperienced drivers - who already have a category C licence - with the additional necessary experience required to do multi-drop work for Saint Gobain.

"Candidates will be required to do anything from 15 to 25 drops a day - which is not exceedingly high pressured. Drivers will be given uniforms and weather proofing gear for outside work along with benefits that include paid holiday and bank holiday's, sick pay and free life and accident insurance.
