Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are changing. When the forthcoming Apprenticeship Levy comes into force in April 2017, there will be no restriction on the upper age of apprentices; few restrictions on the previous qualifications they can hold; and, with more qualifications being mapped to the apprenticeship system, they now cover the full range of qualifications – from school leaver to degree level.

This has presented employers with an excellent opportunity to review their entire workforce planning process afresh – using apprenticeships as a way to bring in new talent or upskill their current workforce. With many employers looking to make the most of the levy and take on more apprentices, it’s important that employers tailor their attraction strategy to attract the best candidates.

That’s where Manpower can help. We’ll build a compelling Employer Value Proposition for your apprenticeships; we’ll advise on how the Levy can be used to support your wider talent strategy; and we can even support in identifying training partnerships, qualifications and employment models that best fit your business requirements too. As an Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA) we can even employ the apprentices whilst they work at your location.

In short, we can help you navigate these unchartered waters and unlock the potential of your Apprenticeship Levy pot.
