Job Role: Manual Handler/Production Operative with FLT
Shifts: 14.00-22.00 and/or 22.00-06.00.
Pay rate: £13.99
Location: Leigh
Temporary - 12 weeks (possible extension)

Job Purpose: To support the day to day operation of the compounding and production unit by carrying out hands on production duties, material handling, and FLT operations, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and support compounding and production machinery in line with set processes and work instructions.
  • Feed production lines with materials and monitor output to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Carry out visual quality checks on finished product and identify/report defects or process issues.
  • Assist with line changeovers, cleaning, and basic machine set ups as required.
  • Complete production records, batch sheets, and system entries accurately
  • Operate FLT (Counterbalance essential) to move raw materials, pallets, and finished goods safely.
  • Load and unload deliveries and ensure correct stock rotation.
  • Supply production areas with the correct materials in line with production schedules.
  • Work in line with all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures at all times
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within production and warehouse areas.
  • Support team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
  • Comply with quality standards and site procedures (ISO / internal standards where applicable)

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or compounding environment
  • Hands on production operative experience essential
  • Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, recipes, and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good awareness of health & safety regulations
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts where required.
