Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs using company systems.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules.
  • Order and manage parts and tools required for vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant technical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working as a vehicle technician, preferably within a commercial vehicle environment.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify faults efficiently.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety regulations related to vehicle maintenance.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and modern vehicle systems.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and management.
