Manufacturing Technician

Location: Paisley
Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 - 16:00


Manpower Scotland is recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join a busy and highly regulated production environment in Paisley.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to join a fast-paced, high-quality production setting within the biotech sector. You'll play a key role in ensuring daily manufacturing requirements are met and that product quality and performance standards are consistently achieved.


What you'll be doing:

  • Manufacturing cell culture media and reagents following strict protocols and SOPs
  • Operating semi-automated and automated production equipment
  • Carrying out in-process testing to ensure products meet specification
  • Troubleshooting process, procedure, and product issues with support when required
  • Managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively
  • Using IT systems and equipment as part of the manufacturing process
  • Supporting continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Following all health, safety, and cleanroom procedures
  • Contributing to departmental goals and performance metrics


What we're looking for:

  • Previous manufacturing experience (essential)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-throughput manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a similar industry is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to take initiative and suggest improvements
  • Strong work ethic and positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to work accurately in a regulated environment


Working conditions:

  • Cleanroom and manufacturing environment
  • Standing for long periods during shifts
  • Manual handling (up to 25 lbs)
  • Working with chemicals and hazardous materials (full training provided)
  • Requirement for flexibility and occasional overtime
