Manpower Scotland is recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join a busy and highly regulated production environment in Paisley.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to join a fast-paced, high-quality production setting within the biotech sector. You'll play a key role in ensuring daily manufacturing requirements are met and that product quality and performance standards are consistently achieved.
What you'll be doing:
- Manufacturing cell culture media and reagents following strict protocols and SOPs
- Operating semi-automated and automated production equipment
- Carrying out in-process testing to ensure products meet specification
- Troubleshooting process, procedure, and product issues with support when required
- Managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively
- Using IT systems and equipment as part of the manufacturing process
- Supporting continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Following all health, safety, and cleanroom procedures
- Contributing to departmental goals and performance metrics
What we're looking for:
- Previous manufacturing experience (essential)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-throughput manufacturing environment
- Experience in a similar industry is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to take initiative and suggest improvements
- Strong work ethic and positive, professional attitude
- Ability to work accurately in a regulated environment
Working conditions:
- Cleanroom and manufacturing environment
- Standing for long periods during shifts
- Manual handling (up to 25 lbs)
- Working with chemicals and hazardous materials (full training provided)
- Requirement for flexibility and occasional overtime
