About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Driver/Yard Operative to join our national client's team on a temporary basis in Poole, Dorset. This is a hands-on role, supporting operations by driving a 3.5t van, assisting with the efficient loading and unloading of vehicles, and carrying out general yard duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5t van to support deliveries and collections as required
• Assisting drivers with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles
• Organising and maintaining stock within the yard
• Ensuring the yard is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Carrying out manual handling tasks in line with health and safety procedures
• Supporting general yard operations, including preparing materials for dispatch

Requirements

• A valid UK driving licence, with experience driving a 3.5t van preferred
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, as a driver's mate, or similar environment is desirable but not essential
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to carry out physical/manual work
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
• Ability to work well as part of a team
