Hours: You will work shifts 1.00 pm - 7.30 pm (any 5 days across Monday to Sunday)

Hourly rate: Weekdays £11.44 | Saturdays £16.13 | Sundays & Bank Holidays £20.94 (rising after 12 weeks)

The Role

Manpower is recruiting a Dining Room Assistant on behalf of our Public Sector client. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors in our hospital canteen and dining room. We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual to assist with serving food, operating the till, replenishing stock, clearing tables, and managing pot wash duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve meals and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Operate the till, handling cash and card transactions efficiently.
  • Replenish food and beverage stock as needed, ensuring all items are well-presented and available.
  • Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
  • Assist with pot washing and general kitchen cleaning duties.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with others.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required (Manpower can support with this)

The role is subject to satisfactory reference checks and standard DBS check. Manpower pays for the cost of the DBS.
